Bach Sonate voor fluit en continuo
Yotam Haran, cello
Yotam Haran was born in 1992 in Jerusalem, Israel, where he also completed his
B.Mus. studies on Cello in 2015. Following his graduation, Yotam moved to the
The Netherlands to pursue studies in historically informed performance, and he recently
completed his M.Mus. degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Prof. Viola de
Hoog. Yotam has prepared a much-complimented thesis on Luigi Bocherrini's cello
sonata G1, and he is currently a doctoral candidate at the Leiden University. His
research focuses on cello performance practice in France in the late 19th century.
Yotam is currently taking lessons with cellist Job ter Haar, and he performs with various
groups covering a wide range of repertoire: the Nymphes et Monstres ensemble, the
Zeehelden quartet, and Duo Majorana (cello and piano).
Yotam is geen onbekende bij de Happy Bachdag. Zijn herinneringen:
'As for the places I played in during former Bach Days, I don't remember all of them, but I think the most significant ones are here: Zuiderbad, Coffee Company, Vondelgym and De Taart van m'n Tante in Amsterdam (this is a mix of the two years I played in Amsterdam)'.
